For the simple syrup
- Add the sugar and water to a small saucepan over medium heat.
- Stir until sugar is dissolved.
- Let cool, then pour into a glass jar and seal tightly with a lid. Simple syrup will keep, refrigerated, for about one month.
For the cocktail
- Pour vodka, coffee liqueur, espresso and simple syrup into a cocktail shaker filled with ice cubes and shake until well chilled.
- Strain into chilled cocktail glass.
- Garnish with three espresso beans or cocoa powder and serve. Cheers!
