Elena simple tomato sauce

ingredients

  • 6 c. ( 90 ml) tablespoon of Stefano extra-virgin olive oil 
  • 2 whole garlic cloves cut in half (remove the germ)
  • 500 g of fresh tomatoes (Italian tomatoes peeled, seeded and diced)
  • 6 to 8 basil leaves
  • Salt

 

preparation

  1. Heat 3 tbsp. (45 ml)  of Stefano extra-virgin olive oil in a pot.
  2. Brown the garlic cloves in the oil.
  3. Add the tomatoes and continue cooking for 10 to 15 minutes.
  4. Add the whole basil leaves.
  5. Continue cooking, stirring for 5 minutes.
  6. Take the garlic out of the sauce, using a fork puree the garlic and put it back into the sauce.
  7. Add salt to taste and another 3 tbsp (45 ml) of olive oil.
  8. Sprinkle with Parmesan and serve.
